Los Angeles, CA – April 11, 2022 – Liberty Company Insurance Brokers is proud to announce that Peg O’Brien will serve as General Counsel to the firm.

With 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Peg joins Liberty as the firm grows exponentially and requires expert legal support. A graduate of the Fordham University School of Law, Peg is admitted to practice in both New York and Massachusetts. She has worked in a corporate legal capacity for most of her career, focusing on employment, litigation, regulatory concerns, contracts, data privacy, security, M&A, and commercial leasing. Previously, she served as Deputy General Counsel and Director of Compliance for Risk Strategies and General Counsel for DeWitt Stern Group.

When asked about the opportunity to join Liberty, she said, “I joined Liberty on account of its welcoming and people-oriented culture. My discussions with Bill and others before joining only further reinforced my belief that Liberty is an extraordinary place that truly lives by its professed core values.”

In her capacity as General Counsel, Peg will focus on a wide range of legal issues affecting Liberty and its partner agencies, and plans to develop a Legal Department with a culture that both protects the firm and promotes its business growth.
