May 2, 2022 — The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers is proud to announce that Jonathan Axel will be appointed as the President of its West Coast Area.
A New York native and longtime Los Angeles resident, Jonathan brings over 30 years of experience to Liberty, with an extensive background in property, casualty, and financial insurance products. He will lead the growth of Liberty’s western region, as well as maintaining his role as a Producer/Client Executive. A graduate of Emory University with a double major in Economics and Religion, Jonathan has extensive experience in the middle and large market insurance space, working with tech, hospitality, cultural, financial, manufacturing, and retail clients. Previously, he spent 11 years with HUB International as a Producer/Client Executive and prior to that he spent 14 years with Marsh, working in specialties like the political risk, marketing, trade credit, and as a client executive.

Jonathan previously served on the Western Division Board for the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation and is a current Board Member with Center Theatre Group. He is also a past President of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers Association.
