GAINESVILLE, FLA. – September 15, 2022 — The Liberty Company Insurance Brokers (Liberty) is proud to announce that Jim Darling has been elevated to the position of Southeast Area President.

Bringing more than 40 years of insurance industry experience, Darling began his career as a summer intern at Chubb, later moving into underwriting, then worked his way up to manage Chubb’s worldwide marine and energy business. After stints as a branch manager in Milwaukee, Pittsburgh, and Los Angeles, he ultimately led Chubb’s eight Pacific branches before retiring in 2020.

Darling’s notable contributions to the industry include his longtime involvement with the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), where he led several committees, served on the executive board, and was honored as a recipient of the organization’s Golden Horizon Award, for his philanthropic commitment to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

In his new role, Darling will be responsible for providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring to partners and producers in his region, acting as the primary point of contact for guidance and direction in alignment with Liberty’s vision and culture.
